Overview: Costa Palmas Golf Club is an 18-hole coastal course on the East Cape of Los Cabos, where the Sea of Cortez meets desert foothills, dunes and a working resort landscape. Robert Trent Jones II shaped a walkable links-style layout with fairways that roll down the hillsides and views that change between sea and desert. The course sits within the Costa Palmas community and Four Seasons resort, but the design keeps the rugged East Cape landscape in the foreground. Firm, fast ground and broad natural horizons define its playing character.
History: The course opened in 2020 as the golf centre of the Costa Palmas resort community. Four Seasons described the opening as the launch of a new East Cape golf destination, while current Costa Palmas material presents golf alongside the marina, beach club, farms and other community amenities. That wider setting is important to the course’s story: it was planned as part of a complete coastal destination, with the routing threading through existing landscape rather than being placed on an anonymous inland site.
Did You Know? Costa Palmas offers shorter ways to experience the property without repeating the full 18-hole round. Current club material highlights a 28,000-square-foot putting course and flexible seven- and 14-hole loops. Those options are more than practice add-ons: they reflect the walkable, social design concept and let families or mixed groups explore the same desert-and-sea setting at different speeds while the championship routing remains intact.
