Cordova Golf Course

Overview: Near Sacramento, Cordova combines eighteen holes with public golf operated by the Cordova Recreation and Park District near Sacramento. The district describes a community facility with a full golf course and practice amenities, while its planning material identifies the layout as a par-63 course. The shorter par gives the routing a distinct identity: accuracy, wedge play and disciplined scoring are more central than simply maximizing length.

History: Cordova Recreation and Park District owns and operates the golf facility, which its official materials place roughly ten miles from downtown Sacramento. The sources reviewed confirm the public operating model and 18-hole identity, but do not provide a sufficiently clear, current opening date or architect for this exact course, so those fields are left blank.

Did You Know? A par-63 course can still deliver a complete 18-hole round, but its scoring questions arrive in a different order from a standard par-72 layout. Cordova’s published format makes it a useful Sacramento-area option for golfers who want a shorter, more tactical test.
