Overview: Coral Creek is a lowland Oahu course with a water-influenced parkland routing, four lakes and fairways shaped by the trade winds. The operator describes a 6,808-yard par-72 layout with a mix of broad corridors, demanding carries and green approaches that reward planning. The course is especially defined by its use of water and by the changing direction of the wind.
History: Designed by Robin Nelson, Coral Creek opened in 1999 and was the final new golf course built in Hawaii during the twentieth century. Its construction and later history are documented by the club, including the use of Seashore Paspalum throughout the course and the lake named for Nelson.
Did You Know? The par-three thirteenth includes a waterfall feature, while the par-five fourteenth can stretch to 636 yards into the prevailing trade winds. Those two holes show how the course combines visual water elements with a very direct test of distance.
