Overview: The Championship course at Columbus Country Club is a Donald Ross layout in eastern Columbus, Ohio, where rolling ground, mature trees and subtle elevation changes create a strategic parkland test. The current scorecard lists the black tees at 7,077 yards and par 72.
History: The property began as a horseman’s club in 1903, and Tom Bendelow designed the original nine holes in 1907. Donald Ross added and renovated holes from 1914 through 1940, establishing the character that the current championship course has recently been restored to reflect.
Did You Know? Columbus Country Club hosted the 1964 PGA Championship, won by Bobby Nichols. The event also brought Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus into one of the club’s most important chapters.
