Overview: Columbine Country Club is a private Henry Hughes course in Columbine Valley, Colorado. The layout follows the South Platte River valley and Dutch Creek, with open mountain views, mature landscaping and water features shaping a traditional championship test.
History: The club and course were established in 1955 on the former Heckendorf Farm. Columbine hosted the 1967 PGA Championship, and Rees Jones with Greg Muirhead later remodeled the course in 2020 while retaining its Hughes foundation.
Did You Know? The 1967 PGA Championship at Columbine was won by Don January after an 18-hole Monday playoff. The course also includes an island green on a par four, an unusual feature for a Colorado parkland layout.
