Overview: The Colony Golf & Country Club is a private Jerry Pate championship course in Bonita Springs. Its par-72 routing runs through preserve and water views in the Pelican Landing community, with sweeping Platinum Paspalum fairways and a longest listed length of about 6,802 yards.
History: Westinghouse Communities began the Colony model in 1999, and forty founding members celebrated the clubhouse and golf course grand opening in 2001. A full tee-to-green Platinum Paspalum conversion and course renovation followed in 2017, with the clubhouse reopening after interior work in 2018.
Did You Know? Platinum Paspalum was selected for its salt tolerance and year-round performance in the Gulf Coast environment. The turf choice is part of the course’s documented 2017 renovation story, not just a cosmetic change to the fairways.
