Overview: The #2 Ravines course at Cog Hill is a rugged and technical parkland masterpiece that many locals consider the hidden gem of the property. Designed by David McIntosh and Bert Coghill, the layout earned its nickname from the deep ravines that come into play on nearly half the holes, forcing golfers to navigate significant elevation changes and heroic carries. The routing is exceptionally creative, blending natural hazards with strategic bunkering to create a rigorous test that predates the more famous "Dubsdread." Its technical green complexes and demanding approach shots make it a favorite for competitive amateurs in the Midwest.
Did You Know? The course features a unique "19th hole"—a challenging par-3 designed to settle bets—and served as a co-host for the 1997 U.S. Amateur Championship.
