Overview: West Lakes is the 18-hole combination of holes 19–27 followed by holes 1–9 at Coffs Harbour Golf Club. Beginning on the later nine changes the way the property unfolds: the round starts with the club’s West Lakes section and then turns back through the opening nine. Expect a warm coastal setting, generous green space, tree cover and water that can influence both the line from the tee and the approach. As with the other Coffs Harbour routings, this is public club golf with enough variety to reward visitors who are building a North Coast itinerary.
History: Coffs Harbour Golf Club was formed in the 1920s and officially opened its first six-hole course at the showground in December 1926. The permanent club has since grown into a 27-hole facility. West Lakes is a current combination created from those three nines, not a claim that the club operates three separate 18-hole properties. That shared identity is important when matching the directory name to the official course guide.
Did You Know? West Lakes is the only named Coffs Harbour combination that starts at hole 19 in the club’s published sequence. It then returns to holes 1–9, allowing the same 27 holes to support three different 18-hole rounds while keeping the course in regular rotation.
