Overview: East Lakes is one of the current 18-hole combinations at Coffs Harbour Golf Club. The club’s 27 holes are arranged as three nines, and this routing uses holes 10–18 followed by holes 19–27. That sequence gives the round a different rhythm from The Lakes combination: the opening nine settles into the middle section of the property before the closing nine completes the circuit through the West Lakes holes. Water, tree cover and the warm Coffs Coast climate are recurring features, while the layout remains a practical public golf option rather than a resort-only experience.
History: Coffs Harbour Golf Club was officially opened in December 1926 on a six-hole showground course. The club later secured a permanent site and developed the multi-nine layout that exists today. The modern 27-hole structure allows the club to present three named 18-hole combinations without pretending that each is a separate standalone course. East Lakes is therefore best understood as a specific, current routing through the club’s shared 27-hole property.
Did You Know? The name East Lakes describes the combination, not an extra 18-hole course hidden beside the clubhouse. The official layout guide spells out the sequence as holes 10–18 and 19–27, a useful detail for golfers comparing scorecards or comparing the club’s routing options.
