Overview: The Clube Curitibano golf course is the club’s 18-hole routing in Quatro Barras, in the Curitiba metropolitan area. Published course data gives par 72 and 6,606 yards, while the club’s own magazine identifies Luiz Dedini as the course designer associated with the layout known today. The course occupies a broad green property with lakes, mature vegetation and views toward Morro do Anhangava. It is a private-club setting, but its regular open tournament and guest arrangements make the exact course an important part of Paraná’s competitive golf calendar.
History: Clube Curitibano dates back to the nineteenth century, but golf at this Quatro Barras site has a later and more specific story. The club became involved with the former Paraná Golf Club in 1973, when that facility was incorporated into the Curitibano structure. The golf clubhouse was formally inaugurated in 1980, and the club’s current historical account separates the completion of the 18-hole project from its public inauguration, with Luiz Dedini credited for the design known today. A contemporary newspaper report records the inauguration context in 1984, so that year is used for the course field.
Did You Know? The golf property covers more than 600,000 square metres and looks toward Morro do Anhangava in the Serra da Baitaca area. The course also carries a strong tournament identity: the Clube Curitibano Open reached its 40th edition in 2024 and is played over multiple 18-hole rounds. Lakes, mature vegetation and the mountain backdrop give the Quatro Barras site a character that is easy to distinguish from a city-centre course.
