Overview: Situated in the picturesque heart of the Empordà, with the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean as its backdrop, Club de Golf Torremirona is a diverse and scenic 18-hole championship layout. Co-designed by Eugenio Aguado and Jordi Soler Peix and inaugurated in 1993, the course offers a "game of two halves" that tests every facet of a golfer’s skill. The front nine is a technical journey through narrow, tree-lined fairways and complex, undulating greens that demand precision and careful plotting. In contrast, the second nine opens up into a more expansive landscape with wider fairways and flatter greens, providing a rhythmic and scenic finish that emphasizes the natural beauty of the Catalan countryside.
Did You Know? The course is home to one of the most iconic challenges in Northern Spain: the par-3 5th hole, which features a spectacular island green. This high-drama signature hole requires total nerve and precise club selection, as there is no room for error between the tee and the target. Over the years, this dramatic centerpiece has helped Torremirona establish itself as a premier tournament venue, hosting everything from European Tour Qualifying School to major international senior events.
