Overview: C/A is the current directory label for one of Cleveland Heights’ 18-hole rotations in Lakeland. The public municipal facility combines two of three nine-hole courses, using the same historic parkland and Lake Hollingsworth setting as its other pairings.
History: Cleveland Heights opened in spring 1925 with eighteen holes and a lakeside clubhouse. Lakeland added nine more holes in the early 1980s, and the city’s 27-hole facility now offers several pairings rather than one fixed 18-hole route.
Did You Know? The Florida Historic Golf Trail identifies the original nines as Azalea, Bougainvillea, and Camellia. C/A corresponds to the Camellia/Azalea combination in the directory shorthand, a route distinction that is easy to miss if the facility is treated as only one course.
