Cleveland Heights Golf & Country Club (A/B)

Overview: A/B is one of the 18-hole combinations at Cleveland Heights Golf Course in Lakeland. The city-owned parkland facility consists of three nine-hole courses played in rotating pairs, so this directory label represents a current route within a 27-hole historic municipal complex.

History: The original Cleveland Heights golf course and clubhouse opened in spring 1925. Lakeland later added a third nine in the early 1980s, creating the present 27-hole structure; the city continues to own and operate the facility.

Did You Know? Florida Historic Golf Trail describes the three nines as Azalea, Bougainvillea, and Camellia, played in A/B, A/C, or B/C combinations. The directory’s A/B label is therefore shorthand for two named nines rather than a separate A/B course.
