Overview: Located in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, the Del Conte Course at Circolo Golf Bogogno is an 18-hole championship parkland course designed by Robert von Hagge. Set on a flat alluvial plain, the layout features wide, rolling fairways framed by mature pine forests, large sand hazards, and expansive green complexes. The course demands strategic positioning off the tee and precise approach shots to navigate the numerous water hazards.
History: Opened in 1997 as the first course at Bogogno, Del Conte was built to establish a premier tournament venue in northern Italy. Von Hagge, Smelek and Baril utilized the natural plain to design a highly strategic layout. The course has hosted multiple professional events, including the Italian Open on the European Tour and the European Tour Qualifying School.
Did You Know? The course features a highly sophisticated network of interconnected lakes and streams that serve a dual purpose. They act as a major strategic hazard for golfers and a critical reservoir for the resort's ecological water management system.
