Overview: Situated on the historic Curragh plains of County Kildare, Cill Dara Golf Club is a unique and established 18-hole parkland-links hybrid. Originally founded in 1920, the layout is carve out of a landscape characterized by its natural undulations and its thin-soiled, fast-draining terrain. The course offers a technical and physically engaging round, where the fairways weave through diverse topography that has been used to graze horses for centuries, preserving a sense of rural peace and ancient heritage.
Did You Know? Cill Dara is famously one of the few clubs in Ireland to share its land with a major horse racing center, and the occasional sight of thoroughbreds training in the distance is part of the course's authentic "Curragh" character. Its exceptional natural drainage means it is one of the few inland courses that can provide dry, firm links-style conditions year-round, making it a favorite for purists of traditional strategic golf.
