Overview: Cypress Creek is the original 18-hole tournament course at Champions Golf Club in Houston, Texas. Ralph Plummer designed the course with founders Jackie Burke Jr. and Jimmy Demaret, and the tree-lined parkland layout remains the club's principal championship stage.
History: Champions Golf Club was founded in 1957, while Cypress Creek opened in 1959. The club later added the George Fazio-designed Jackrabbit Course, and Tom Fazio helped update the Cypress Creek design in 2002.
Did You Know? Cypress Creek hosted the 1967 Ryder Cup, the 1969 U.S. Open, the 1993 U.S. Amateur and the 2020 U.S. Women's Open.
