Overview: Situated in Hendersonville, Champion Hills Club is a private mountain course designed by Tom Fazio. Winding through the Blue Ridge Mountains, the layout features dramatic elevation changes, rock outcroppings, and dense forests. The fairways are strategically routed to avoid excessive uphill climbs, leading to Fazio's signature contoured green complexes.
History: Opened in 1991, the course was designed by Tom Fazio to establish a premier private mountain club that would also serve as his personal mountain home course. Fazio utilized advanced earth-moving techniques to make the steep mountain slopes playable and walkable for members. The club has maintained its reputation for immaculate conditioning and scenic views.
Did You Know? More than half of the holes play downhill, a design feature carefully planned by Tom Fazio to maximize playability and provide golfers with views of the Blue Ridge mountains.
