Overview: Cengkareng Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course in Soewarna Business Park beside Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang. The official scorecard credits Walter Raleigh Stewart and gives a 6,301-metre total, approximately 6,891 yards. The site is largely flat, so its interest comes from the shaping: mounds, bowl-shaped fairways, doglegs, varied hole lengths and carefully placed bunkers create alternatives from the tee. Its airport setting makes it unusually useful for travelers who want a full round close to Jakarta's main international gateway.
History: Current course information dates Cengkareng's opening to 1999 and places it at the same Soewarna Business Park address used by the directory. The club was developed as an airport-adjacent golf facility rather than a remote resort course, and its official materials continue to present the Stewart-designed, 18-hole routing. GoGolf records the Indonesian Open being played here in 2005 and 2008, giving the course a place in the country's tournament history as well as in the Jakarta travel circuit.
Did You Know? Cengkareng's official description calls its design classic Californian architecture. On this flat airport-side site, that idea is expressed through broad earth-shaping, bowl-like fairways and a balance of doglegs running in both directions. The scorecard's four tee colours also show how the same layout can be presented at different lengths, while the mounded fairways keep the visual frame varied from one hole to the next.
