Overview: The Grouse/Guadiana routing at Castro Marim Golfe blends the open, windy character of the Grouse loop with the more established, water-heavy challenge of the Guadiana nine. The Guadiana loop is noted for its beautiful fast greens and its demand for precision off the tee, as several holes navigate around large lakes and doglegs. Combined with the Grouse’s expansive hill views, this 18-hole configuration provides a varied and scenic resort experience that tests both power and finesse.
Did You Know? The Guadiana nine is named after the nearby river that separates Portugal from Andalusia in Spain. Because the course sits on an elevated plateau, on a clear day golfers can watch the river traffic and see across to the Spanish town of Ayamonte while putting out on the greens, giving the round a truly international feel.
