Overview: Designed by 1998 Open Champion Mark O'Meara, this spectacular parkland course is one of two championship layouts on the historic 1,100-acre Carton House estate. Opened in 2002, the course is celebrated for its lush, atmospheric fairways and its integration with the ancient woodland of the Ryewater Valley. Characterized by its technical green complexes and its unhurried, grand estate character, the O'Meara offers a world-class resort experience in a serene and historic setting.
Did You Know? The course features a spectacular "Amen Corner" sequence of holes (14, 15, and 16) that play directly along the banks of the River Ryewater. The setting includes the historic Shell Cottage and the grand Palladian mansion of Carton House, providing one of the most scenic and visually grand stretches of parkland golf in Ireland, having hosted several seasons of the Irish Open and elite amateur events.
