Carnoustie Golf Links - Buddon Links

Overview: The Buddon Links at Carnoustie is the newest and most versatile of the three legendary courses at the Links. Originally designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark in 1979 and significantly improved by MacKenzie & Ebert in 2014, the Buddon offers a technical links experience through the sandy, gorse-covered areas that border the Ministry of Defence land. Characterized by its narrow fairways, well-protected greens, and an abundance of broom and heather, the course provides a significant tactical challenge that is often considered the perfect companion to the more physically imposing Championship Course.

Did You Know? The Buddon Links was significantly extended in 1981 and redesigned to create two new world-class finishing holes (the 17th and 18th) which are now famous for their technical bunkering. While it may not share the harrowing reputation of the Championship Course, its holes are named after military battles in honor of the nearby training grounds, reflecting the rugged and historic atmosphere of this corner of the Angus coast.
