Overview: Perched on the spectacular coast of North Down in Bangor, Carnalea Golf Club is one of Ireland's oldest and most scenic coastal parkland courses. Originally founded in 1892, the layout is carve out of a spectacular 150-acre historic site characterized by its massive mature timber and strategic water hazards. Characterized by its narrow, forest-lined corridors and its tranquil rural setting, Carnalea offers a technical and atmospheric round of world-class strategic golf.
Did You Know? The course is particularly famous for its spectacular panoramic views across the Irish Sea and the surrounding mountains. Over its century-long history, it has hosted numerous national amateur championships and is widely regarded as one of the best-conditioned and most technically demanding parkland layouts in the Southeast of Ulster, preserving a sense of secluded rural peace that is rare in modern golf.
