Overview: Prince/Queen is one of Cape Royal’s three published 18-hole rotations, pairing the Prince and Queen nines in Cape Coral. Gordon G. Lewis’s design uses preserved vegetation, water hazards, and differing tee positions to give the south-side Queen and more testing Prince a varied combined round.
History: The property was built as a 27-hole facility and is commonly dated to 1991. Prince/Queen is a routing combination within that original structure, not a separately dated course, and the current course identity remains tied to the three named loops.
Did You Know? Cape Royal’s Queen nine is described as the most visually intimidating loop, while Prince is described as the most difficult. Playing them together produces the combination with the strongest emphasis on visual pressure and forced carries.
