Overview: The Mountains and the Ocean. This course traverses a rugged peninsula in a National Park, moving from the Atlantic Ocean up into the Highlands and back down. It is a natural course with humps, bumps, and quirky holes that could never be built today.

Did You Know? During construction, Stanley Thompson was accused of spending too much government money. When officials came to inspect, he famously took them to the best viewpoint on the course, gave them whiskey, and the budget issues were forgotten.
