Overview: Capdepera Golf is an 18-hole par-72 course on Mallorca’s east side, between Artà and Capdepera. Mallorca’s current golf directory lists 5,890 metres from the longest published tees, approximately 6,446 yards, and credits Dan Maples with the design. The course is set in a quieter inland landscape than the island’s major resort corridors, with open ground, low hills and Mediterranean vegetation shaping the view from the fairways. Its balanced length makes it accessible to visitors, while the changing angles and natural setting reward thoughtful club selection.
History: Capdepera opened in 1989 and has remained one of the established 18-hole visitor courses in eastern Mallorca. The design is associated with Dan Maples, whose routing uses the natural contours of the site rather than treating the course as a flat resort grid. The current club continues to present the course alongside a driving range and a Mallorcan-style Casa Club, with the property’s location near Artà and Capdepera making it part of the island’s broader golf-travel circuit.
Did You Know? The clubhouse terrace has a direct visual relationship with the finishing hole: the official club site highlights views toward the 18th green from the Mallorcan-style Casa Club. That makes the closing hole part of the experience before and after the round, not just the last entry on a scorecard. Capdepera’s long-tee reference is 5,890 metres and its standard par is 72, but its appeal is as much the calm eastern-Mallorca landscape and the sense of arrival at the final green as the raw numbers.
