Overview: In Lenexa, Kansas, Canyon Farms offers a private 18-hole round across rolling fairways, water, streams and a parkland setting near Kansas City. The course is listed as a Tom Jackson and CE Golf Design project, with a full-length layout of about 7,004 yards.
History: The club was founded in 2007. In 2015, a sinkhole opened beside the 13th fairway where part of the course overlies a nonoperating limestone mine; management shortened the hole while investigating and repairing the area.
Did You Know? The 13th-hole sinkhole was large enough to lower part of the fairway and green area by several feet, making it one of the more unusual recent course-maintenance stories in the Kansas City region.
