Overview: Canlubang's South Course offers the more open-looking companion to the North layout, although it remains a full 18-hole, par-72 Robert Trent Jones Jr. design. The championship tees stretch to 6,795 yards through Laguna's former plantation landscape. Ravines, tropical planting and water features provide the visual framework, while wider fairways give the opening shot a little more room than on the North. The reward is a round that feels expansive without losing the strategic demands of a classic parkland course.
History: The South Course was completed in March 1979, following the North Course's earlier completion. Both routings belong to the same Canlubang Golf & Country Club complex, which was incorporated in 1975 and began full operations in 1978. Keeping the two completion dates separate matters for this directory because the course names describe two distinct 18-hole layouts, not alternate names for one scorecard.
Did You Know? Canlubang's South is often described as the easier of the two courses because of its wider and more forgiving holes, yet its setting still supplies plenty of visual and tactical variety. Course references point to views toward Laguna de Bay and the Sierra Madre, as well as ravines and tropical plants close to the fairways. It is a gentler first impression of the complex, not a soft course.
