Overview: Cameron Park Country Club is a private foothill club with an 18-hole course in Cameron Park, featuring narrow fairways, mature oaks, meandering streams, and lakes. The current blue-tee scorecard lists par 72 and 6,531 yards, while the club's own history describes a layout built through the former Wallace Ranch valley.
History: Larry Cameron hired Bert Stamps to design the course in 1958. Construction began with the first nine in 1962, and the full 18-hole course was completed in October 1963 under the original El Dorado Royal Country Club name. The club later adopted the Cameron Park Country Club name.
Did You Know? During construction, workers found gold nuggets near the sixth green, and the club history says Dottie Stamps had a necklace made from some of them.
