Overview: Calusa Country Club is an 18-hole Gordon Lewis course in Lakewood Ranch. The new layout uses elevation changes, contours, white-sand bunkers, and water on every hole, with TifEagle greens and Bimini fairways giving the modern course a crisp Florida presentation.
History: Calusa Country Club opened for public play on February 1, 2025 as part of a Lennar Homes development in Lakewood Ranch. The 18-hole championship course is the first completed golf component of a larger plan that also includes a Gordon Lewis-designed 12-hole short course.
Did You Know? Water comes into play on all 18 holes, according to the opening announcement. The property also includes an aqua range and short-game practice area, while the future short course is intended to add another way around the same bundled-golf community.
