Overview: Dogwood is one of the nine-hole routings at Callawassie Island Club in South Carolina’s Lowcountry. Tom Fazio’s design uses marsh vistas, lagoons, live oaks and native vegetation; this row records the Dogwood loop itself rather than the club’s 27-hole composite.
History: Callawassie belongs to the first generation of Tom Fazio’s Lowcountry designs from the mid-1980s. The three nines have since undergone a staged renovation focused on drainage, irrigation and turf, with the wider renewal completed across three years.
Did You Know? Dogwood normally forms one half of an 18-hole round when paired with another Callawassie nine, which is why its par and yardage are lower than a full course.
