Overview: Cahir Park Golf Club is a scenic and established parkland course situated in the shadows of the Galtee Mountains on the banks of the River Suir. Originally founded as a 9-hole layout in the 1960s and extended to 18 holes by Eddie Hackett in 1995, the course is characterized by its lush fairways and mature stands of mature timber. It offers a technical test that prizes strategic iron play, providing a peaceful and authentically rural golfing experience in the heart of the Golden Vale.
Did You Know? The course is located just a short distance from the historic 12th-century Cahir Castle, which is one of Ireland's largest and best-preserved castles. The castle's presence looms over the landscape, and the River Suir—which surrounds the castle—acts as a natural defensive and aesthetic feature that influences the lower holes of the golf course.
