Overview: Karoo at Cabot Citrus Farms is an eighteen-hole resort course in Brooksville, Florida. Kyle Franz led the current design and renovation, using broad fairways, sandy ground, and native Florida vegetation in a 7,562-yard layout that sits within the former World Woods property.
History: The course opened as part of the Cabot Citrus Farms development in 2025. The current Karoo routing reworks the earlier Pine Barrens golf landscape, carrying forward the sandy inland character while establishing a new Cabot identity.
Did You Know? Sandhill cranes are a visible part of the Karoo setting. Cabot’s course material emphasizes the birds and the surrounding nature, a reminder that the course is designed as part of a broader Florida landscape rather than as an isolated resort lawn.
