Buckhorn Springs Golf & Country Club

Overview: Buckhorn Springs is a private 18-hole club in Valrico, east of Tampa. Harris Green’s course is set among mature vegetation, natural springs, and rolling ground, with the club describing the property as a country setting rather than a built-up golf estate.

History: Local businessmen began planning the club in 1962 and selected the present site in February 1966. Harris Green’s course opened on Labor Day in 1968, and the property has remained a private club with a long connection to the Brandon–Valrico community.

Did You Know? Buckhorn Springs sits on land that reaches roughly 90 feet above sea level, which the club identifies as the highest point in Hillsborough County. Natural springs were part of the site’s appeal when the original location was chosen.
