Brookside Golf & Country Club

Overview: Columbus's Brookside combines a private 18-hole parkland setting with a carefully documented modern transformation. The current scorecard reaches 7,259 yards at par 72, pairing mature tree lines with reworked fairways and greens. The course's identity comes from the relationship between an older city-club framework and the sharper strategic definition of Brian Silva's work.

History: Charlie Lorms created the original course in 1927. Brian Silva led a major transformation more than nine decades later, preserving the club's historic identity while rebuilding important playing surfaces and improving the strategic clarity of the routing.

Did You Know? Golf Digest ranked the Brookside project second on its 2022 Best Transformations list. The club has also hosted the Ohio Amateur and the Trans-Mississippi Amateur, adding tournament history to the architectural story.
