Overview: The Stadium Course at Bro Hof Slott is a modern lakeside championship layout north-west of Stockholm, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Its broad scale, open landing areas, large greens, bunkering, and water hazards create a course that changes character with the tee used. The official club describes the layout as approachable from the yellow and red tees, considerably more demanding from white, and a serious test from the black markers. The setting on the historic Bro Hof estate gives the course a strong sense of place, with open ground and lake views shaping the routing.
History: The Stadium Course opened in 2007 as the principal course at Bro Hof Slott Golf Club. Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed the layout, using the estate’s landform and lakeside position to create a contemporary championship course rather than a traditional tree-lined parkland test. Bro Hof became a regular tournament venue soon after opening, and the Stadium Course has hosted the Nordea Masters on the European Tour on five occasions.
Did You Know? Bro Hof’s official hole guide places the first tee to the right of the castle courtyard, with the historic building behind the player at the start of the round. The course then spreads into a much larger landscape of lake, meadow, and woodland. That contrast between the compact estate setting and the expansive golf ground is one of the most memorable features of the Stadium routing.
