Overview: Located near Esbjerg on the west coast of Denmark, the Skoven (Forest) and Sletten (Plain) combination at Breinholtgård Golf Center forms a diverse 18-hole championship layout. Designed by Jonathan Gaunt and Michael Traasdahl Møller, the course transitions from open, wind-exposed meadowland holes with large lakes to tight, tree-lined corridors winding through mature pine forests. This contrast requires players to adapt their strategy, balancing aggressive distance on the plains with pinpoint accuracy in the forest.

History: Officially opened on August 8, 1992, the Skoven-Sletten 18-hole combination marked British architect Jonathan Gaunt's first golf course design project in Denmark. The facility was later expanded into a premier 27-hole complex with the addition of the Ådalen loop in 2000, establishing the center as a major competitive venue in western Jutland.
