Borre Golfklubb

Overview: Located near the shores of the Oslo Fjord in southern Norway, Borre Golfklubb is an 18-hole parkland course designed by Swedish architect Tommy Nordström. Winding through flat polder land and wetlands, the layout is highly exposed to coastal winds. The design features wide, rolling fairways framed by mature trees, strategically placed lakes, and large green complexes, requiring players to control their ball flight and play with strategic discipline.

History: Opened in 1990, the course was built to create a competitive facility in the Vestfold region. Nordström carefully routed the holes to preserve the natural water run-offs and local flora. The course has hosted several professional events, including the Norwegian Open on the Challenge Tour.

Did You Know? The club is located in an area rich in Viking history, close to the Borre Mound Cemetery. This historic site is home to the largest collection of royal burial mounds in Scandinavia, dating back to the 6th to 10th centuries.
