Overview: Bonita Bay’s Marsh course is the original 18-hole Arthur Hills layout in Bonita Springs. Golf Digest lists it at 6,529 yards, and the fairways, wetlands, lakes, and native vegetation give the course a low-country Southwest Florida setting.
History: ULI’s Bonita Bay case study places the Marsh course in the community’s first development phase, whose sales began in 1985. The course became an early anchor for the project and was later recognized as one of the strongest new layouts in the country.
Did You Know? Golf Digest records that nines from Marsh and Bay Island combined to appear in its 100 Greatest Golf Courses rankings in the 1989–90 and 1991–92 editions. That recognition came before Bonita Bay’s full multi-course campus had taken its present shape.
