Overview: Pensacola/Destin is one of three 18-hole combinations at The Villages’ 27-hole Bonifay Championship Course. The par-72 routing uses the Pensacola and Destin nines, with rolling terrain, water, changing elevation, and a broad tee menu that allows the same property to suit different playing styles.
History: The first Bonifay nines, Destin and Fort Walton, opened in fall 2011; Pensacola was added afterward to complete the facility. The overall course was designed by the Clifton, Ezell and Clifton Design Group.
Did You Know? Bonifay’s three-loop design makes Pensacola/Destin one of three legitimate 18-hole combinations rather than a simple front-nine/back-nine pairing. The route names preserve the course’s destination-themed identity within The Villages.
