Blue Sapphire Golf & Resort (Ocean)

Overview: Blue Sapphire's Ocean Course is the second 18-hole routing at the former sapphire-mining property in Chong Dan, Kanchanaburi. It is kept separate from the Canyon Course because the resort operates two rounds from different nine-hole combinations: Ocean is identified in current course records as the C and D routing. Like its companion, it uses mining lakes, elevated ground, exposed rock and tree-lined corridors, but the playing experience is defined especially by the amount of water visible around the holes. The combination of former industrial land and resort landscaping gives Ocean a setting that is difficult to confuse with a conventional inland parkland course.

History: Blue Sapphire was created after sapphire extraction left behind a network of pits and water bodies. The golf development turned those remnants into a 36-hole destination, with the Canyon and Ocean courses operating as separate 18-hole experiences. Current sources disagree on the exact opening milestone and on some Ocean scorecard totals, particularly as the course combinations have evolved.
