Overview: The West course at Blue Rock Springs is the older of Vallejo's two public 18-hole layouts. It is a tree-lined parkland course listed at par 71 and about 6,014 yards from the blue tees, with a walkable routing and several changes in elevation.
History: The West course opened in 1941 and was originally designed by Joe Mortara Sr. and Jack Fleming. Robert Muir Graves enhanced the design in 2006, while the municipal complex continued to operate the West and newer East courses together.
Did You Know? Blue Rock Springs has two separate 18-hole courses, East and West, so the word West in this entry is a full course name rather than a nine-hole side.
