Blackstone Golf Course

Overview: Bill Amick’s Blackstone design in DeFuniak Springs, Walton County, is an 18-hole course. At about 6,624 yards from the back tees, the par-72 layout uses the region’s rolling ground, elevation changes, slanted fairways, water hazards, and sand to create a varied Emerald Coast round.

History: Course references date Blackstone’s first play to 2009 and credit Bill Amick. The club’s location in the Florida Panhandle gives the course a different visual profile from the flat coastal layouts farther south, with natural elevation doing much of the architectural work.

Did You Know? The eighth is a 420-yard par four that gives the scorecard its strongest power-versus-position contrast. The shortest hole is the thirteenth, a 186-yard par three, giving the scorecard a clear contrast between power and precision.
