Overview: Black Water Links is a modern links-style course at Rumianek in western Poland, designed by Caspar Grauballe. The layout grew from a carefully staged project, with the wide playing ground and open character intended to give the course a distinctive relationship with wind, firm surfaces and the surrounding agricultural landscape. Its 18 holes are compact enough to remain walkable but varied enough to create a complete par-72 test, with a style that reflects the newer generation of Polish golf architecture.
History: The club signed its design agreement with Caspar Grauballe in August 2019 and began earthworks in January 2020. The project developed alongside a golf academy, practice areas and a growing club community. The official timeline records the opening of the full 18-hole course on 3 July 2022, marking the transition from a construction project into one of Poland's newest complete golf venues.
Did You Know? Black Water Links was built in visible stages rather than appearing all at once. The project added its driving range in 2020, a six-hole academy course in 2021 and then unveiled the 18-hole routing in July 2022. That sequence is a useful snapshot of how a contemporary golf club can grow its playing landscape step by step.
