Overview: Black Lake Golf Club is a public and resort-linked Rees Jones design in Onaway, Michigan. The 18-hole parkland course sits on a heavily forested 1,000-acre property at Black Lake, with wetlands, native sand pits, ponds and hardwoods shaping the natural setting.
History: Black Lake opened in June 2000 as an amenity of the Walter and May Reuther UAW Family Education Center. Rees Jones and co-designer Greg Muirhead created the layout for the UAW-owned facility with an emphasis on working with the existing terrain.
