Binowo Park Golf Club

Overview: Binowo Park Golf Club sits south of Szczecin in a landscape of beech woodland, open ground and water. The 18-hole championship course uses that varied setting to create a rounded parkland test, with tree-lined corridors giving way to broader views and natural-looking hazards. Its scale and setting make it an important early example of modern Polish golf, while the surrounding landscape gives the round a distinctly northwestern character. History: The Brax family bought the farm near Szczecin in 1990 and developed a golf project at Binowo from 1997. The short layout came first in 1999. The championship course and clubhouse were officially opened in 2000 by Princess Birgitta of Sweden and Swedish golf figure Sven Tumba. The club's own history describes Binowo Park as Poland's fourth-oldest 18-hole golf course, placing it near the beginning of the country's modern golf development.
