Biltmore Forest Country Club

Overview: Biltmore Forest Country Club occupies a private 135-acre setting in Asheville's planned Biltmore Forest community. Donald Ross's course uses mature parkland and gently varied ground, with the club's invitation-only access and long local history forming an important part of its identity.

History: Land for the club was acquired in 1920, Donald Ross was retained to design the golf course, and the official opening took place on July 4, 1922. The club later became associated with the Biltmore Invitational, which ran from 1922 through 1962, and its history records Bobby Jones as an honorary member.

Did You Know? Biltmore Forest opened on Independence Day in 1922. The club also records a planned 2028 U.S. Senior Amateur, a future championship note that should not be confused with an event already played there.
