Bighorn Golf Club (The Canyons)

Overview: At Bighorn, Tom Fazio's Canyons layout runs through the dry washes and dramatic landforms of Palm Desert. The private course is described at par 72 and roughly 7,400 yards, with desert vegetation, water features, and canyon-like earth movement creating a strong contrast between the playing corridors and the surrounding mountains.

History: The Canyons opened in 1998 as the second course at Bighorn. Fazio's work expanded the club's golf identity beyond a single desert layout, using excavation, contour, and planted corridors to create a more rugged companion to the property.

Did You Know? The course's canyon character was made through major earth shaping, not simply discovered in a natural ravine. That constructed landform now frames the streams, waterfalls, and desert vegetation that define the round.
