Biggar Golf Course

Overview: Nestled in the scenic Public Park of the historic market town of Biggar, this 18-hole course was initially laid out by the legendary Old Tom Morris and opened in 1907. Extended to its full 18-hole format in 1922, the course blends parkland and moorland features, offering a varied and technical challenge in the Southern Uplands. The layout is characterized by its undulating terrain, natural hazards, and breathtaking views of Tinto Hill and the surrounding Lanarkshire countryside. Its firm, springy turf and strategic routing reflect the timeless principles of Morris’s design philosophy, providing a rewarding test for players of all levels.
