Bethpage State Park Golf Course (The Red)

Overview: Bethpage Red is one of the five public courses at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale. The A.W. Tillinghast routing is a demanding parkland course with long par fours, substantial green complexes and the practical, walkable feel of a public park rather than a private club.

History: The Red Course dates from 1935 and was part of the public-works development that made Bethpage a major New York golf destination. Bethpage became a public facility in the mid-1930s, and Tillinghast's Red, Blue and Black courses remain the core of its historic golf identity.

Did You Know? The Red is not simply a shorter version of the Black. It has its own Tillinghast routing and its own championship history, which is why it remains a ranked course in its own right.
