Berkleigh Golf Club

Overview: In Kutztown, Pennsylvania, Berkleigh Golf Club occupies rolling Berks County ground shaped by elevation changes, forced carries and selective bunkering. Robert White’s design creates a traditional parkland test with generous but purposeful fairway corridors.

History: Berkleigh was designed by Robert White, a Scottish-born architect whose work helped shape early American golf. The former private course is now open to public play while retaining the character of its older rolling-land setting.

Did You Know? Robert White was the first president of the PGA of America and helped found the American Society of Golf Course Architects. Berkleigh is one of the courses that carries that early professional design legacy into modern public golf.
